The Program

The Program

The Washington Summer Institute offers two-week programs in three areas:

  • U.S. Politics
  • U.S. Culture
  • U.S. Law
Program Dates June 30 - July 13, 2024
Arrival Day Sunday, June 30
Deaparture Day Saturday, July 13

Participants will visit sites and listen to guest lectures directly related to their programmatic area. This model of experiential education will give visitors deep insight into American life, and our capital - one of the global hubs of politics, law, and culture.

The program is not for credit and is open to all international undergraduate and graduate students. After successfully completing the program, you will receive a certificate from George Mason University.

Program participants must be 18 years old or older before the program start date. Enrollment will be subject to interest and availability.

If you are an institution, you may nominate a group of students to participate in the WSI or get more information by sending an email to wsi@gmu.edu.

If you are a student interested in participating in the WSI, you can contact your institution to see if they might include you in a group of nominated students or you can apply as an independent participant on our website.
