Program Description

The Washington Summer Institute (WSI) at George Mason University equips students with the knowledge and skills to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. During this intensive two-week program, students gain a comprehensive understanding of American society through the American Insights by Mason (AIM) course and various educational excursions, where they will delve into American politics and law, explore diverse cultural landscapes, engage with local communities, and foster critical thinking and cross-cultural understanding, preparing them for success in an increasingly interconnected world

Participants will learn through the American Insights by Mason (AIM) course and participate in a variety of enriching educational excursions. This model of experiential education will give visitors deep insight into American life, and our capital - one of the global hubs of politics, law, and culture.

The program is not for credit and is open to all international undergraduate and graduate students. After successfully completing the program, you will receive a certificate from George Mason University.

Program participants must be 18 years old or older before the program start date. Enrollment will be subject to interest and availability.
