Led by select faculty, Global Faculty-Led Programs include winter break, spring break, or summer programs ranging from 2 to 8 weeks and for 3 to 6 credits. Each program is customized by a program administrator, led by a George Mason faculty academic director and often subject to change regarding course offering and location details. Faculty-Led semester programs offer 12 to 15 resident credits per semester, as students take courses taught in English or in the host country’s language.
Short–term Programs
- Short–term Global Faculty–Led study abroad programs range from 2 to 8 weeks and are offered during University holidays (winter break, spring break) and over the summer term.
- Students receive between 3 to 9 credits.
- Most of these programs are eligible for financial aid, led by George Mason faculty, and cover a variety of topics.
Semester Programs
- Led by select George Mason faculty, these programs offer 12 to 15 resident credits per semester, as students take courses taught in English or the host country’s language.
- Faculty–Led semester experiences are offered in Florence (Italy), Granada (Spain), and Oxford (UK).
