Chris Hicks is the Semester Mobility Manager at the Global Education Office (GEO) and works with outgoing exchange, direct-enrollment, provider, and external study abroad programs and incoming exchange programs. Chris holds a M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University as well as a B.A in International Relations and a B.B.A. in Marketing & Management from Grand Valley State University. While at GVSU, he studied abroad at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy for a summer exchange program. After his undergraduate studies, Chris earned a TEFL/TESOL Certificate in Cusco, Peru where he fell in love with the area and stayed for two years teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) before moving to San Jose, Costa Rica to coordinate service-learning and language immersion programs for intercultural institutes in Latin America. He is passionate about international education and is driven to help others find their own "Latin America." |
