About | Sara is an international student from Colombia. She has lived in the U.S. since 2011 after moving with her family. She is a 2024 George Mason University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a double concentration in Clinical and Industrial/Organizational. She has a minor in Data Analysis. Back in 2019, when she was still in high school, she had the opportunity to intern at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C.—which would later motivate her desire to help students acquire similar internship opportunities. |

About | Stas Miachkov is the Global Internship Programs Manager in the Global Education Office. He holds an MA in International Affairs from Washington University in St. Louis, and a BA in Tourism and Hotel Management from Osh Technological University in his native Kyrgyzstan. Stas has extensive experience working on international exchange programs, such as GMU's Washington Summer Institute, Faculty-Led Programs, and Professional Exchange Programs at American Councils for International Education. |

About | Among Marie alice Arnold’s responsibilities in the Global Education Office is supporting global internship programming. Growing up in a Navy family, she moved often, developing a curiosity and appreciation of how others live. During her undergraduate years at Skidmore College, she spent a year at the Autonomous University of Madrid. These experiences laid the foundation of her interest in providing equally meaningful cultural exchange experiences to others. Marie alice holds a Masters of Arts degree in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University. In 1989, she began working in Study Abroad at the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), where she worked with programs around the Globe eventually holding the title of Director Enrollment, Records, and Service. Seeing students thrive in their adventures abroad fuels her passion for international education. |
