About | Sally (Sumin) Ahn is a Graduate Professional Assistant working with Global Education Office for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024. She started her journey at Mason Korea as an undergraduate student with a Global Affairs major and she is now a Master’s student in Conflict Resolution. During her time in Korea, Sally traveled to different parts of Asia and Europe as a hobby. She volunteered in Thailand and India through Mason Korea’s volunteer/internship program before coming to the United States a study abroad student. This experience motivated Sally to work with the GEO as a Graduate Professional Assistant. She hopes to encourage her peers to find an internship/study abroad experience that they might not have after graduating. Sally believes that studying abroad is one of the best gifts you could have as a student. This is because she believes that when one experiences the world that they have not explored, it can lead you to many different doors as well as creating new connections. It also gives you more motivation to learn about the world and create your own story from the experience. Sally is excited to advise and support her fellow peers in sharing their new stories. |
