Chris Hicks is the Semester Mobility Manager at the Global Education Office (GEO) and works with outgoing exchange, visiting student, provider, and external study abroad programs and incoming exchange programs. Chris holds a MA in International Affairs from George Washington University as well as a BA in International Relations and a BA in Marketing & Management from Grand Valley State University. While at GVSU, he studied abroad at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy for a summer exchange program. After his undergraduate studies, Chris earned a TEFL/TESOL Certificate in Cusco, Peru where he fell in love with the area and stayed for two years teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) before moving to San Jose, Costa Rica to coordinate service-learning and language immersion programs for intercultural institutes in Latin America. He is passionate about international education and is driven to help others find their own "Latin America." |
